Survey Trip 2018

Survey Trip 2018

This is a special newsletter to update our friends and partners concerning our recent survey trip to Ghana. We want to thank you for your faithful prayers and support.

We left on May 27th from Richmond International Airport

This is the first time my wife and all 5 of our children have ever flown. The first flight was to JFK in NY, about 1 hr long. The flight to Accra was 10.5 Hrs. Thank the Lord no one got sick flying.
We went with several things to get accomplished and the Lord allowed us to get them done. My wife was able to see Ghana and I was able to get financial info that was greatly needed.

My wife was able to see several areas of the city of Takoradi, including the market square where she became the center of attention and talk among the ladies as they tried to explain to her in Fante that she was holding Samuel the wrong way because he wasn't on her back. These ladies wanted to hold Sam and we could clearly see this was a rare opportunity for them of which they enjoyed.

We stayed in the outskirts of the village of Kanasaworado in the Western Region.

Signs of Spiritual Confusion, every kind of charismatic, satanic, religious conglomeration imaginable is there.

This is one of the local Charismatic groups that in just a few years, after nonstop sensual dancing and satanic speaking in tongues has built this massive building you see in the center of the picture.

Sam gets the opportunity to ride Ghana style. It didn't take long and he was asleep.

Please Pray for the girl Jenny in the Picture as well as her sister and brother due to the recent passing of their mother.

We took a trip to the village of Mampong several miles outside of Kanasaworado on the old road to Tarkwa. Of course this road is a dirt road with many potholes and it washes out in the rainy season.

Along the way we see this sign for a prayer camp.

(For your own info google Ghana prayer camps and you will find the demonic influence these prayer camps are having)

In the village of Mampong we got to see some locals distilling coconut oil. They were glad to see our family as we were a rare sight there in that village.

I had the opportunity to preach twice at the Kanasaworado Independent Baptist Church they are meeting at the local Methodist high school.
Please pray for the man in this picture Eric as he is in technical school learning to be a mechanic.

We got back home on June the 5th. Please pray for us as we continue deputation and Lord willing be able to go to place of God's calling, Ghana.
