November - December Newsletter

Dear Friends and Partners,

We pray that all of you are in good health and experiencing the blessings of God abundantly. We hope that everyone had a good Thanksgiving holiday and spent time reflecting upon the great blessings of this past year. Ps 92:1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:  The Lord has allowed us many opportunities to share our burden in the last couple months and for this we are very thankful. We have reached approximately 12 percent of support. Praise the Lord!!!  We have seen God move in several of our meetings and this is a wonderful blessing.
Here we are again at the end of another year and facing the Christmas season. As we partake in the Joys of the season may we not get wrapped up in the world’s view of Christmas but remember the gift of God’s Salvation and the reason for the celebration our Saviour Christ the Lord.
The world stops at the baby in the manger and wants to leave him there, but for those of us who are saved we realize that this baby is God and His purpose for coming is our redemption.
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. Galatians  4:4-5
We are looking to take our final survey trip to Ghana the last week of May into June. Please be in prayer about this as we prepare the necessary passports, visas, and get the needed vaccinations.

Merry Christmas and May God bless all of you as you serve our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,

Bro. John and Family

Dear Friends and Partners,

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. III John v.2  We are thankful for the many friends that God has allowed us to meet and we are grateful to all those who have partnered with us financially and prayerfully. It is our desire and prayer that each and everyone of you may know what is the hope of His calling, and experience the riches of the glory of His inheritance in Christ Jesus.
We have many things to be thankful for such as God’s grace, His daily provision, our health, and safety on the roads, as we have traveled several thousand miles in the last 2 months. One instance of God’s protection is when we were traveling to a meeting in Rockingham, NC and our van started leaking oil on top of the Diesel Turbo this could have resulted in a fire, but God allowed us to make it home where we were able to fix it. Another example of the protecting hand of God can be seen in our return from Texas on the 23rd of October. We were traveling on interstate 81 headed for Roanoke, VA in heavy rain and low visibility and we saw 11 car accidents in which the vehicles were totaled. Clearly God had his hand on us cause we made it home without a scratch.
God has allowed us to meet several good men of God that are having some difficulties and we pray that we have been a blessing to them. We would like to ask specific prayer for Pastor Russell Edwards and his wife. Please lift them before God knowing that The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.. James 5:16b
We are still planning to take the whole family on a survey trip to Ghana in May of next year. We would appreciate your prayers concerning this endeavor. It will cost around $8000 for the whole family to go and we know that God will supply the funds to do so if it is His will.
I want to close this letter by encouraging our readers with the words of the apostle Paul Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.. 1Corinthians 15:58

May God bless all of you as you serve our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,

Bro. John and Family

June - August Prayer Letter

                                                                              June - August   2017

Dear Friends and Partners,

We hope this letter finds each and every one of you experiencing good health and the abundant blessings of God.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah..  I would like to mention a few of the many benefits or blessings that we have experienced in the last few months. Our son Samuel was born on the 16th of August. He is a healthy baby with a starting weight of 8 lbs 8 ounces and 21 ¾ inches long. We thank God for the privilege of being the parents of this young life. We pray that he will receive Christ at a young age and grow up to serve the Lord with his life. We thank the Lord that both Carrie and the baby are doing well.
We also want to thank the Lord for the safety we have experienced while traveling to and from meetings. We have several meetings booked for the next four months and our desire is to be a blessing to every Pastor and Church member that we have the opportunity to meet.
We have recently purchased a larger van to fit our family. It also will allow us to travel farther and for longer periods of time. It is our desire to be able to go fulltime deputation but we also realize that God’s timing is of the utmost importance.
We are planning to take the whole family on a survey trip to Ghana in May of next year. We would appreciate your prayers concerning this endeavor. It will cost around $8000 for the whole family to go and we know that God will supply the funds to do so if it is His will.
I want to close by saying that the intercessory prayer of our friends and partners avails much for the glory of God. James 5:16b The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much..

May God bless all of you as you serve our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,

Bro. John and Family
