May - June Prayer Letter

The Launderville Family May - June Prayer Letter.

We want to thank all those who have been praying for us. We also want to thank our Partners in this ministry, for your faithful support it has been a blessing.

Dear Friends and Partners,
Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. Psalm 54:4.  We are thankful that God is our helper as we strive to serve Him, but we are even more thankful that He is with all of you who uphold and support us financially and prayerfully.
Thank God for Safety to Ghana and back. We left on May the 27th from Richmond to JFK in New York. Our flight to Accra, Ghana left at 6pm and was a 10.5 hr flight. We arrived in Accra at 8:30 AM. The Ghanaian Immigration and Customs staff were very friendly as they assisted us especially since our 2 youngest children were crying. The Ghanaians enjoyed seeing the children especially Sam. All the ladies wanted to hold him. My wife was able to see several places in Ghana. We went to the city of Takoradi and as we walked into the market the Ghanaian ladies all got excited at the sight of Paula and Sam and they started to chatter about how she was holding Sam the wrong way. Carrie was holding him in her arms and not on her back. We stayed in the village of Kanasaworado and my wife was able to see what an average sized village is like. We also visited the small village of Mampong several miles outside of Kanasaworado. You pass through several miles of jungle and farms on the old road to Tarkwa to get to this village. We stopped and talked to some of the locals as they were distilling coconut oil. I was able to get some pictures of my wife and children with these people as they talked. You can find these pictures and others about the trip on our website www.gospelforghana.blogspot.com . We were able to get a lot of financial information and put together a list of things to bring with us when we move. I was able to preach twice at the Kanasaworado Independent Baptist Church. We returned on the 5th of June. God truly blessed the trip and we are looking forward to the day when we are able to leave and go to the place of God’s calling.
Praise God we are at 31% of our support needed. God has blessed and we had several take us on recently.
Please continue to pray for us as we have started back on a full schedule. We are praying that God would allow us to reach 75% by the first of next year. This may seem to be a high goal, but we serve a God who “… is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Eph 3:20  Thank you all again for your faithful prayer and support.

May God bless all of you as you serve our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,

Bro. John and Family
